Empowering Women

Garden State Latina is a nonprofit organization that encourages, nurtures, and advocates for the success of Hispanic girls and women across New Jersey. GSL is dedicated to elevating women’s leadership by spotlighting up-and-coming and accomplished Latina professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers; offering valuable resources; and cultivating an environment where young women can be inspired, learn, and thrive in both their personal and professional journeys.

Recognizing that more than 10% of women in New Jersey identify as Latina—reflecting the diverse cultural heritage of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Central America, and the Caribbean—GSL seeks to create a welcoming space where those identities are celebrated and amplified.

Garden State Latina is the successor to Garden State Woman LLC, a pioneering New Jersey-based multimedia nonprofit that has empowered women since 1998.
